The Brains behind the Brand

Hi! Toni here, Creative Director and owner of Tangled Sage Event Artistry (formerly Succulents for Hire). Thanks for being here!

I started Succulents for Hire in 2017 as a means to turn a passion for my magical succulents into a small business. It started with workshops and craft fairs, but I soon discovered that adding my succulent and floral art to weddings was incredibly fun and fulfilling.

I had no idea at the outset that SfH would turn into a thriving wedding floral operation, but as that side of things took off, I fell in love with fresh-cut florals and the joys of incorporating native plants and eclectic elements into my style of floral arrangements.

My family’s move from California to Utah in 2020 brought further change to my style of floral, and #wildelegance was born. Along the way, I discovered that our burgeoning destination wedding town of Moab, UT was in great need of even more creative event services.

The shift from Succulents for Hire to Tangled Sage Event Artistry became more than a simple rebrand as we began to expand our creative services. The change represents the evolution of a carefully thought-out offering that fills gaps in the event industry in Southeast Utah and Western Colorado.

In offering unique florals, decor rental, custom signage, and ceremony music all under one roof, Tangled Sage makes life easier for every couple we work with, and every event planner too.

I come from a long line of artists and stage performers and feel a near-compulsion to express myself visually or musically. Whether I'm arranging flowers, painting, drawing, writing, singing, or playing my guitar, I carry a wildly creative energy into every project I undertake.

A magnetic pull toward thoughtful and innovative stylings has led me down a winding career path that’s included moving from coast to coast, a professional music career, freelance writing, consignment painting, a Master’s degree with a desk job, and ultimately a desire to get my hands dirty and play with plants.

Working with me means having a creative partner who can cultivate your seed of an idea and transform it into a fully fleshed-out vision. Whether you’ve built out a complex Pinterest board or have no idea where to start, I’m here to help. I will bring the same enthusiasm to your wedding florals and decor design as I do to each and every one of my own creative projects.

In collaboration with my team of freelancers and partners in the industry here in Moab, I’m beyond excited to share all of our creative offerings and am eager to connect with you!

Values and Priorities …

When I’m not working, you can find me soaking up the majesty of the beautiful place we call home with my husband, Loren and underdog, Beatrice. My incredible husband, co-owner and CEO of Stargazer Social Club, has been a steadfast cheerleader and supporter since this endeavor launched.

We’re both avid outdoors people and conservationists who value the Leave No Trace ethics of experiencing nature. We mountain bike, hike, rock climb, ski, snowshoe, and have just begun to dip our toes into water sports.

We’re happy to share suggestions on how you and your guests can spend your time during your visit to Moab.
